It's a busy time for us here are Sweet Madi. The last two weeks have been hectic with last minute orders but I can't turn away business, right?  How else are we going to grow!  Here are some pictures of some recent treats we've made. Enjoy and Happy Holidays! Thanks always for your support.

Bridal Shower Favors

Here are pictures of some red velvet cake pops. A good friend of mine (Joan) was throwing her co-worker a surprise wedding shower. Joan realized two days before the party that she didn't have any favors to give out, so she called me of course and I was so happy to do it.  The wedding colors were......you guessed it, purple & yellow. I loved the colors.   Good luck to Gigi & Danze, best wishes!

New flavors

We've added two new flavors for our cake truffles & cake pops:  Carrot Cake and Mint Chocolate.
The carrot cake was a huge hit at a recent office party I catered and also at a salon/spa that my sister works at. I thought I would drop off a box there last weekend when I went to visit, just to test it out. My sister sent me a text that afternoon to tell me everyone loved them and they wanted more. Someone even mentioned that the mint chocolate cake truffles reminded them of the Girl Scouts Thin Mint Cookies.

Our revised logo

We redesigned our logo. Nothing too drastic. What do you think? Since Madi is my inspiration I wanted to somehow incorporate her image or one similar to her as part of the logo. Now whenever I look at the logo it reminds me of who I am doing all of this for  :-)

Caleb's Baptism

This past weekend I made cookie favors for a baptism. I used a large cookie cutter in the shape of a cross that's about 4" long. Because of the size I had to go through about 6-8 pounds of butter to make enough dough for all these favors.  Here's Madi holding one of the favors. She's so good in front of a camera.

Exciting things are happening at Sweet Madi. Last week we had a small photo shoot with Allison Murray of Allison Murray Photography and Alexis Harrington of Alexis Harrington Photography. They are taking pictures for our new website which we will be launching very soon.  So stay tuned.

The pictures below were NOT part of our photo shoot. These were for a repeat customer who ordered them for her office meeting this week. So I thought I would post them.

Birthday Gift Box

A customer ordered this 15 piece gift box for her teenage daughter. She told me her daughter is not much of a cake eater but she really loved the red velvet cake from Sweet Madi. She said it's the only cake she will eat, she doesn't like anything else. WOW! Really?  What a great compliment. Thank you!

Of course these are all Red Velvet Cake Truffles, her favorite.

Party Cake Pops

This is for a preschool graduation party, isn't it cute? The Hello Kitty pops were chocolate cake and the dark colored pops were made of red velvet cake.

Cookies

This weekend we provided about 400 cookies for a wedding. The bride & groom decided to have a cookie table at their reception. Dessert tables and candy tables are sort of the "in" thing at weddings and special occasion parties lately. We hope to do more in the future. For this event they chose three flavors: Chocolate chip, Peanut Butter, and Lemon Shortbread. We made them "mini size".

Here are some pictures of the cake pops I made this weekend. They were for two children's birthday parties. I made a variety of flavors: Red Velvet, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Hazelnut, Lemon, and Banana cake.  Enjoy looking at them.
